Hadith is the part of prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) Sunnah. We Muslims are commanded by Allah Most
High to follow this Sunnah. Since the prophet (ﷺ) was guided by revelation in his personal life, his
character and social interactions became moral conduct for Muslims in this world until the Last
Day.
Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “I was sent to perfect good character.”
Allah Says in Surah Al-Hashr: 7 “And whatever the Messenger has given you – take; and what he has
forbidden you – refrain from.”
The Hadith program in Wahion Yoha studies the primary sources of authentic Hadiths such as “The
Sahihs”, and Books such as “Riyad Usalhin”.

The virtue of seeking Islamic knowledge
1- The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Allah makes the way to Jannah easy for him who treads the
path in search of knowledge.” [Muslim].
2- Islamic Knowledge purifies the soul: that no good deeds without previous knowledge. Allah says:
“So, know, [O Muhammad], that there is no deity except Allah and ask forgiveness for your sin.”
Surah Muhammad: 19
3- Islamic Knowledge is a light that Allah places in the hearts: “Knowledge is a light that Allah
places wherever he wills.”
Allah says in surah Al-Hajj: 46
“So, have they not traveled through the earth and have hearts by which to reason and ears by which
to hear? For indeed, it is not eyes that are blinded, but blinded are the hearts which are within the
breasts.”
4- Islamic Knowledge makes you truly fear Allah:
“Only those fear Allah, from among His servants, who have knowledge.” Surah Fatir: 28
Another Ayah in Surah Al-Isra: 107- 109:
“Those who were given knowledge before it- when it is recited to them, they fall upon their faces in
prostration, and they say, “Exalted is our Lord! Indeed, the promise of our Lord has been fulfilled.”
And they fall upon their faces weeping, and it [i.e., the Qur’an] increases them in humble
submission.”
Allah Multiplies the reward for the reciter of the Qur’an
Every person who recites the Qur’an purely for Allah’s sake will receive a reward, as mentioned in
Hadith; but this reward is multiplied if the recitation is accompanied by attentiveness,
contemplation, and understanding of what is being recited.
Ibn Mas’ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah, he will be
credited with a good deed, and a good deed gets a ten-fold reward. I do not say that Alif-Lam-Mim is
one letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter.”
[At- Tirmidhi].
• The reward of teaching the Qur’an: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “The best amongst you is the
one who learns the Qur’an and teaches it.” (Al-Bukhari)
• The reward of reciting the Qur’an: “Whoever reads one letter of the book of Allah will be rewarded
for it with a good reward, and this good reward will be increased tenfold.” (at-Tirmidhi)
• The reward of learning and memorizing the Qu’ran: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,
“The one who is proficient in the recitation of the Qur’an will be with the honorable and obedient
scribes(angels) and he who recites the Qur’an and finds it difficult to recite, doing his best to recite it
in the best way possible, will have two rewards.” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim).
He also said: “It will be said (in paradise) to the reciter of the Qur’an who acted upon its teachings:
read, ascend, and beautify as you did in your worldly life, for indeed your level is that equal to your
last verse.” (at-Tirmidhi)
• The reward for those who congregate for the study of the Qur’an: The Messenger of
Allah (ﷺ) said,
“Any group of people that assemble in one of the Houses of Allah to recite the Book of Allah,
learning and teaching it, tranquility will descend upon them, mercy will engulf them, angels will
surround them and Allah will make mention of them to those (the angels) in His proximity.”
[Muslim].
