Tips to fluent Quran recitation

Regularly reading and reciting the Quran is a critical part for devout Muslims to strengthen their

relationship with faith.

If your recitation lacks fluency that holding you back from becoming closer to Allah, it may be time

to begin a course of study.

Fortunately, there are a number of ways to improve your understanding and grasping of the Word

through Quran recitation practice.

Following these tips make reciting the Quran easier insha’Allah:

1- Make learning the Quran manageable

If you try to learn everything at once, you may feel overwhelmed from the beginning and feel

overburdened with how much there is to master; make short-term goals for yourself and don’t

expect to conquer every aspect of proper recitation at once. It’s great to be excited about improving

your recitation skills, but start small, or else you may lose confidence and motivation.

2- Be consistent

Create habits around your Quran learning so that it becomes a part of your everyday life. Setting

aside a part of your day to focus on your Quran learning can help you be more consistent and better

encourage growth.

3- Listen to Quran from professional reciters

Regularly listening to experts recite the Quran can be a great auditory learning tool. Try to play

audio of Quran reciters in the background while doing everyday tasks, such as driving, cooking, or

going to and from work.

4- Read Tafsir to know the meaning of Ayahs

Typically, it is easier to recite the Quran when you understand what you are reciting.

Comprehension is important for retaining the knowledge and meaningful messages that Allah Most

High says in Quran.

When you know what you are reciting, you’re likely to be more engaged and get more out of that

fruitful experience.

5- Focus on Tajweed rules for better pronunciation and articulation
